<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to John Sealy Edward Townsend, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>The Society is today posting proofs of Townsend's full 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper on diffusion of ions. Does not see how they can let him have copies of it in a fortnight or so. They might be able to obtain an extra proof or two but copies in any number will only be at Townsend's disposal when the paper is printed off, and then he can have 100 at the Society's expense.

As to the paper of [18]96 there is no chance now of getting separate copies, except by enquiry to Dulau & Company, Soho Square. Imagines Townsend only received 50 copies of this paper as he did not apply for more. After author's private copies have been taken off the printers of course distribute the type. </dc:description>
