In response to a note of yesterday, Rix states that the President of the Royal Society agrees to the Editor's request for the publication of abstracts of the Society papers in 'Scientific News', on the conditions that the consent of the author has been obtained, and that the publication of the abstract does not precede the paper being read at the Society. 27 January 1888
