Copy letter from an unknown correspondent, to Messrs Wesley & Son, 28 Essex Street 'There is no annual subscription for the Proceedings ['Proceedings of the Royal Society'] as the vols [volumes] are issued at irregular intervals. The volumes are one guinea each (25% distributed to trade) and are issued about once in the half year. The separate numbers are now issued about once a month at prices varying from 1s/6d [1 shilling and 6 pence] to 5s/- [5 shillings only]'. 27 February 1888
