<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix , to Messrs West, Newman & Company</dc:title>
<dc:description>As directed by the Royal Society Secretaries, Rix enquires as to the price being charged for plate-paper, as a recent estimate from another firm to include drawing, printing and paper was considerably lower than the figure given by Messrs West, Newman & Company. Rix notes that although the competitor's drawings may not be to the same standard as their engravings, the sample of paper they supplied was of a good quality.

In the instance of Mr Walker's drawings, on which they are anxious to give to them to begin work, Rix asks whether a reduced estimate for printing and paper is possible, and if they will take into consideration the question of prices charged for plate-paper.</dc:description>
