Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to W J Haggerston, Chief Librarian, Public Library, Newcastle upon Tyne Despite the Royal Society Library committee having revised the list of institutions to receive copies of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' for free, the matter of the Newcastle Library is still under discussion. Numerous other councils and committees have prevented a second Library committee meeting, and Rix will be unable to answer the question until that meeting has occurred. 16 April 1888
