Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to I B Newcombe, 54 Wall Street, New York States that Thomas Danleigh Suplée is not, and has never been, a Fellow of the Royal Society. Rix speculates that he could be a Fellow of one of the Colonial Royal Societies, but if so, has no right to use the letters F.R.S. without adding the name of the colony to which he is attached. 2 July 1888
