Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to John William Strutt, 3rd Baron Rayleigh Has received a large paper by Andrew Russell Forsyth, 'Invariants, covariants, and quotient-derivatives associated with linear differential equations', and asks to hear by return of post whether he may advertise the paper for reading next Thursday. Rix notes that due to the limited time available and the briefness of the paper's abstract, he has sent it to the printers in anticipation of Strutt's instruction to do so. 7 January 1888
