Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Arthur Rücker, Fellow of the Royal Society At the instructions of Lord Rayleigh, Rix sends a paper by Dr Naumann and asks for Rücker's opinion on its eligibility for reading before the Royal Society and for publication in 'Proceedings of the Royal Society'. A roll of five very large charts and a sample field book which accompany the paper, can also be sent if he wants them. An early reply would be helpful, as otherwise the paper cannot be read. 18 December 1888
