<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor Henry Hennessy, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix is uncertain whether he understands Hennessy's card, but interprets 'note' to indicate the manuscript of the 'Note on the English Foot & Yard' and assumes this indicates an intention to withdraw the paper, and as a consequence Rix has registered this and returns the manuscript. Rix is not sure what is meant by 'proof of the last paper of Dec 20', as the last paper received was on 26 December and it has not been put into type.</dc:description>
