  <dc:description>In pursuance of Common's telegram of the previous day, Harrison has drafted a letter to the Admiralty which will be sent today. The Royal Society asked the Foreign Office on 13 March to obtain the same facilities in France and Spain which it also asked in Portugal.

Encloses a copy of Sir H Macdonald's despatch and a letter from the Foreign Office received this morning [not enclosed], and shall be obliged if these are returned by next Thursday morning. </dc:description>
