<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor George Carey Foster, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>With reference to Foster's letter of the 23 May, Harrison has sent Professor Bryan's paper to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt].

In view of the facts mentioned in Dr Stoney's report, both Secretaries agree it would be contrary to the Society's practice to accept Professor Bickerton's paper even for reading. Will keep the matter over for Foster's next Sectional Committee.

Asks if 7 June would be appropriate for meeting of Foster's Committee.

Encloses a list of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' paper which have recently come in [not attached] and has noted names of referees suggested by Professor [Arthur William] Rucker. Will refer the papers as soon as he receives Foster's instructions.</dc:description>
