Is requested to state that at a meeting of the Council held 31 May, it was resolved that Council accept the transfer by his Lordship to the Royal Society, of the Sylvester Medal Fund. Council queried if it was necessary to change any of the investments of the Fund. This will be considered by the Finance Committee. Regrets that it has not been found possible to retain his Lordship's connection with the fund. 2 June 1900
