Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor George Carey Foster, Fellow of the Royal Society The Physics and Chemistry Committee decided at their last meeting that Townsend's paper should go to Professor [George Francis] Fitzgerald as second referees, whereas the paper was at the time in the hands of Professor S P Thompson in that capacity. Thompson has now reported on the paper and Harrison encloses both reports herewith [not attached]. In view of the reports asks if the paper may go forward for printing without being submitted to Fitzgerald. 15 June 1900
