<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Lord Avebury [John Lubbock], Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>In reply to Avebury's enquiry the Society has two copies of 'Itinera alpina' [Johann Jakob Scheuchzer], one London ,1708, the other of Leyden, 1723. The former is no doubt the copy sent to Avebury but both the Society's copies are on the shelf. The Society's copy of the second edition has a mark 'Ex done Auctoris', and that volume was lost and afterwards recovered at a second hand book sellers.</dc:description>
