<dc:title>Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor Edwin Ray Lankester, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Aeneas Munro has sent to Mr Secretary Chamberlain a copy of a book written by him 'The Locust Plague and its Suppression', suggesting that the opinion of the Royal Society should be obtained as to the value of the work. The Secretary Chamberlain has accordingly asked the opinion of the Royal Society on the scientific value and general utility of the work. It is apparently Munro's desire that the Colonial Office should distribute the work gratis or at a nominal cost in regions where the locust plague prevails. Queries if Lankester knows the work and if he can give an opinion on it. </dc:description>
