Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor George Carey Foster, Fellow of the Royal Society Encloses a letter from Mr Tutton [not enclosed] which seems to show an entire want of apprehension of the distinct intentions of the Committee with regards to his late paper. The letter holds out such a threat of future lengthy contributions, that Harrison does not feel justified on his own responsibility to accept 'a single word' of addition to the very slightly reduced mass of matter accepted for publication. Foster will see from the accompanying proof [not enclosed] that Tutton has made several additions which will amount to a considerable quantity of print and Tutton seems to be evading the distinct intentions of the referees adopted by the Committee.
