<dc:title>Copy letter from Arthur [William] Rucker, to [Professor Robert Bellamy] Clifton, [Fellow of the Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rucker is sorry to hear he has been unwell. Informs him they have received a very long paper by [William] Duddell. Since Duddell has been working with [William Edward] Ayrton, Rucker suggests at least one referee for Duddell's paper should be someone who is reporting on Ayrton's. The referees on the latter's paper are [James Alfred] Ewing and [George] Carey Foster. Ewing has refused to act, so asks if they should send the paper to Carey Foster.

It would be desirable to have a meeting of the Physics and Chemistry Committee before the Council meeting next Thursday.</dc:description>
