Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor William Abbott Herdman, Fellow of the Royal Society In reply to Herdman's note of 2 October, Harrison does not think Herdman has power under the Standing Orders to order the publication in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]' of a paper which has been sent in for the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]'. Suggests that a minute recommending the publication of Dr Kyle's paper in the 'Proceedings' should be circulated to the members of Herdman's Committee for signature, if Herdamn does not wish to call a meeting. 5 October 1901
