Copy letter from Michael Foster, to Professor William Carmichael McIntosh, Fellow of the Royal Society Foster's view was that the appointment of the Commission rendered the Society's Committee unnecessary. To save calling a meeting unnecessarily Foster is asking the opinion of the several members on this point and he queries McIntosh's view.
