Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Professor Walter Noel Hartley, Fellow of the Royal Society Is desired by the Secretaries to say, in reply to Hartley's letter of 27 November to Professor [Arthur William] Rucker, that Dr W E Adeney's paper on 'The Fermentation of Urea' was submitted to referees in the usual manner and fully considered by the Sectional Committee who took into consideration publication in the 'Proceedings [of the Royal Society]'. The Secretaries have no power to communicate the reason for the decision on a paper, but they are transmitting Hartley's letter to the Sectional Committee which has Dr Adeney's paper under consideration. 28 November 1901
