Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to The Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office Harrison has telegraphed Colonel Bruce, who is in charge of purchases of scientific equipment relating to the investigation into Malta Fever, to ask him if he endorses Dr Zammit's request for four Baker microscopes and an Incubator. Asks if the accounts should be given to the Crown Agents or if they should be paid in detail from the Royal Society. Bruce has also highlighted the case of Major Horrocks, who is paid only ten shillings a day by the War Office, a sum which scarcely covers his expenses. Bruce requests Horrocks is given fifteen shillings a day out of the Mediterranean Fever Commission Fund and an extra ten shillings for his subsistence allowance. 1 July 1904
