Copy letter from Joseph Larmor, to Professor Joseph John Thomson, [Fellow of the Royal Society] The Physics Committee have directed Larmor to communicate to Thomson the result of their efforts with G W Watkins' paper on the theory of refraction in gases. They have not succeeded in finding anyone who understands the paper. The Committee would be glad to have a report from Thomson on the paper in case he thinks they should make further efforts with it. With that view the manuscript is sent herewith [not enclosed]. If the paper is to proceed it must be re-written in full. 8 July 1903
