  <dc:description>Gamgee's letter of 14 June came at a time of great pressure so that he could not write in reply, but enclosed the cheque for £25 as soon as he could get it signed by the Treasurer [Alfred Bray Kempe], and trusts this has arrived safely. This amount was drawn in accordance with Gamgee's letter of the 2 June in which Gamgee asked for half of the amount to be sent for transmission to Dr Walter Jones. The balance is at Gamgee's disposal whenever he would like it. </dc:description>
