  <dc:description>Acting on the instruction of Sir M Foster, the Society are delivering to the Natural History Museum two boxes of biting flies from Uganda, sent by Colonel [David] Bruce in continuation of previous dispatches. In the larger box are two flies pinned on card marked 'X'. These were found detached from the cards and loose inside the box. Asks the Assistant Secretary to take change of them for the Director. </dc:description>
