<dc:title>Copy letter from Theodore E James, to W Eagle Clarke</dc:title>
<dc:description>Professor A Newton has notified the Society that Clarke is desirous of obtaining a hygrometer for use during his forthcoming journey on board one of the Trinity lightships. No hygrometer is at present out of use at the Society but it is possible Dr A J Herbertson, 9 Staverton Road, Oxford, may be able to temporarily transfer one of the two instruments that he has in use in connection with the Government Grant Fund for research.

Sir M Foster suggested Clarke write to Herbertson mentioning the class of hygrometer wanted. Foster is willing for Clarke to state his approval of such a transfer. </dc:description>
