  <dc:description>Harrison acknowledges receipt of the letter of 26 February concerning the conveyance of Surra material to England from India. He informs the Under Secretary that the Royal Society have arranged with its Director that the Lister Institute of Preventive Medicine will receive and study the Surra infected animals. The Institute ask that the Government of India arrange for the material to be conveyed by Dr Lingard, especially in light of news that two animals already despatched have died in transit.</dc:description>
