<dc:title>Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to William Napier Shaw, Fellow of the Royal Sociey</dc:title>
<dc:description>H J Ferrar has written about his carbonic anhydride and sea water observations, and Geikie understands that Shaw is not unwilling to include them in his programme. The material has been worked out by Ferrar and Dr Letts of Belfast, and is ready for publication, the idea being offer them as a paper to the Royal Society. It seems that it would be [?] the scientific observations scattered through separate papers. Council have resolved with a view to uniformity in the various publications, the size of a page of 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' be adopted, the same as the Challenger reports. </dc:description>
