Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to R Etheridge, Sydney Acknowledges their letter containing a complaint relating to the insertion of certain lines in the statement by Professor [William Johnson] Sollas in the recently published report on the Funafuti Atoll. The editor fully considered the lines in question before the volume went to press, but as he regarded them as a simple statement of fact, he had no reason to modify or omit them. There does not appear to be any ground for further action. 5 December 1904
