<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to [John William Strutt] the Lord Rayleigh, [Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix is sorry to hear that Rayleigh is indisposed and trusts that 'it will prove to be of the good old English type and not of foreign importation'. He will send off Arthur William Mayo-Robson's paper to Dr Gerald Francis Yeo, and has already sent Alfred Barnard Basset's to Sir William Thomson. Rix has received a rather doubtful report on [Herbert?] Tomlinson's paper from Dr [John] Hopkinson.

Rix has also received the title of Dr [Joseph Henry] Gilbert's paper, and shall advertise it although he has not yet received any copy.</dc:description>
