<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Professor George Gabriel Stokes, President of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix has forwarded the notes to Mr Ball and Mr Barlow as he does not recall their nominees. The professor of the medical school to whom Stokes alludes was the son of Sir A Gavrod, and a card has already been sent to him for the Royal Society's May Soirée, with the question of the June Soirée for discussion by the committee.

Rix believes there was also a request for the May Soirée from Dr Bellamy of Charing Cross Hospital which has not yet been sent, and asks if he is to send it. The delay in answering Stokes' note was because work on recommenced today.</dc:description>
