Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary to the Commissioners of Inland Revenue Rix reports that he has not yet received a response to his letter of 5 December 1888, in which he raised the fact that the Royal Society is charged with tax under schedule A on 1050 pounds although their building is Crown Property and they do not pay rent; and whether, in the case of the Scientific Relief Fund, they should be exempt from tax. 31 May 1889
