<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Rev Thomas Penyngton Kirkman, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix has investigated the matter, and notes that the mistake appears to have arisen as the packer for the parcel sent by post assumed that it was to be delivered at the door, but having checked the instructions he admits his error and will not repeat it. The parcel sent by rail was delivered according to instructions.

Rix apologises that Kirkman's messenger had an unnecessary journey, especially as the volumes this time are very heavy.</dc:description>
