<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Hugo Müller, Fellow of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix reports that Sir John Lawes has written to state that after careful consideration he believes that the appointment of a foreman for the field work is absolutely necessary, and so until a decision has been reached on that matter, discussuon of Colonel Durnford's honorarium is not worthwhile.

In the circulated schedule, Lawes states that Dr Miller's salary is included in the wages column, so they have included it twice. Rix has kept the letter for reference at the Committee meeting.</dc:description>
