<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Librarian, Free Public Library, Wellington Street, Leicester</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix explains that the price of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' varies from three pounds and ten shillings to six pounds a year, and that 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' is around two pounds and two shillings a year, but that both are issued at irregular intervals and at various prices, and are advertised in the Times, Nature and Athenaeum.

Rix states that they can apply for a grant, but that it is doubtful that the free list will be extended. He also explains that they can be purchase from Messrs Harrison & Sons, or direct from the Royal Society.</dc:description>
