Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Mr Helmore, Vauxhall Bridge Road, S.W. Rix states that their account will be presented for payment at the next Royal Society Council. He also remarks that the new coals are not very satisfactory, reporting that they have repeatedly, in his office and private sitting-room, been 'shooting...like muskets...hurling stones across the room'. 3 October 1889
