Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Henry Edward Armstrong The secretaries of the Royal Society have directed Rix to ask whether Armstrong can return the papers referred to him, namely: 'The assimilation of carbon by green plants from certain organic compounds' by E H Acton; 'On the rate of decomposition of chlorine-water by light' by Dr George Gore; and 'Researches on the chemistry of Camphoric acids' by J C March. Rix notes that the first two have been with him since June, and asks if he is right in believing them to still be in his hands. 9 October 1889
