<dc:title>Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Secretary, Elphinstone College, Bombay</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rix notes that they have a parcel of 'Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society' intended for Elphinstone College, but as they received no answer with regards to a convenient agency by which to send 'Transactions' and 'Proceedings of the Royal Society' last year, they do not know how the parcel should be sent. Messrs Trübner & Company, who the Royal Society had hoped could take the parcels, are unable to do so.

A postscript states that if they receive no response to this letter, they will interpret that to mean that the gift is not wanted.</dc:description>
