Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to the Honorable Director of the Drawing Society of Great Britain & Ireland, Northumberland Chambers, Northumberland Avenue, S.W. Their memorandum to the President of the Royal Society was considered at the first available meeting of the Officers following the long vacation. Rix is directed to inform them that the purposes of the Drawing Society of Great Britain & Ireland do not seem to come within the scope of the Society, and that the Society has no funds applicable for their intended purpose. 19 November 1889
