Copy letter from Herbert Rix, to Dr Peter Martin Duncan, Fellow of the Royal Society Rix notes that as Sir Risdon Bennett has retired from the Scientific Relief Committee, Duncan is now the Chairman. He enquires when Duncan would like the Committee to meet, and mentions that the next Royal Society Council meeting is likely to be on the 19 December and there are some matters due for consideration before then. Wednesday 11 December is noted as having committees planned, but all other days are currently available. A postscript records that Mr Hulke is the new Committee member. 2 December 1889
