Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Dr Alfred James Ewart, The University, Birmingham The Committee to which Ewart's paper 'On the Ascent of Water in Trees' was referred for consideration propose to recommend the Council to publish it in the 'Philosophical Transactions [of the Royal Society]' but wish Ewart to consider the remarks of the referees in the hope that he may see his way to adopting their suggestions. Quotes the referee's remarks which comprise adding a table of content, the arrangement of data in section six, and an obscurity of style in some parts. 14 February 1905
