Copy letter from Francis Darwin, to the Secretary, Academie des Sciences, Paris In 1893 a portion of the fund raised by international subscription as a memorial to the late Dr J P Joule was transferred to the President, Council and Fellows of the Royal Society, for the purpose of founding a Joule Studentship. States the regulations for administering the proceeds. Asks if the Academies des Sciences will undertake the duty of finding a suitable recipient for the Studentship. 8 June 1905
