<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Robert Friedenberg, Messrs J O Wright & Company, 6 East 42nd Street, New York</dc:title>
<dc:description>In reply to Freidenberg's letter of 3 June. The portrait of [Benjamin] Franklin in the Royal Society's collection is a half-length portrait, painter unknown. The picture was photographed some years ago for reproduction in the Centennial History of the Inauguration of the United States. The late Sir George Scharf considered this portrait a fine example. There is a Franklin portrait in the National Portrait Gallery very similar to the Society's.</dc:description>
