Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to C P Lucas With reference to the investigation into Mediterranean Fever, the Royal Society made a grant of £200 out of the Government Grant Reserve Fund towards defraying the expenses of Scientific Equipment, such as instruments and materials, necessitated by the enquiry. Harrison encloses a statement showing the sum expended so far from which Lucas will see that there is an overdraft of £195.17.3 and that the expenditure for equipment alone exceeds the sum originally promised by the Society [no enclosure present].
