Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to the Under Secretary of State, Colonial Office Geikie, on behalf of the Royal Society's Committee on Mediterranean Fever, explains that a fourth report on the progress of their investigation has now been published, showing the importance of evidence collected demonstrating the origin and spread of the disease, and he encloses a copy. The Committee further wish attention to be drawn to the results of 'practical value', namely: contagion can access the body via the alimentary canal; goats suffer a modified form of the disease without obvious symptoms, and can pass milk infected by the Meditearrean Fever micrococcus; infection can occur via consumption of raw goats milk from an infected animal. 24 February 1906
