Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Messrs W Dyer & Sons, Picture Restorers, 7 Mount Street, W. Harrison explains that a portrait of Bacon, on a panel recently repaired by Dyer & Sons, is cracking and has developed two small splits. The repairs were intended to protect against further damage, and the picture has been hung on a wall with a relatively consistent temperature, so the damage is believed to be caused by a problem with the backing applied. He asks that they inspect it as soon as possible. 15 May 1906
