Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], President, Royal Society 'Sir Michael Foster some weeks ago wrote to me that he wished to show a few ^members^ of the Atlantic Union round the Royal Society tomorrow, and so took it as a matter of course that he would be allowed to do so, that Sir Archibald agree with me that there was no necessity to make a formal application of it. But Sir Michael tells me now that there will be a good many of them, and a stupid paragraph in "The Times" this morning, for which I am sure he is not responsible, might cause you surprise, so I send this explanation.
