Harrison informs Fleming that his application for an additional invitation to the Ladies Soirée, for Colonel Cox, was declined at a meeting of officers. The President of the Royal Society felt invitations in excess of those already granted would worsen the crowded nature of the event, and Fleming has already received one additional invitation. 8 June 1906
