<dc:title>Copy letter from Robert William Frederick Harrison, to Lord Rayleigh [John William Strutt], President of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Rayleigh's letter addressed to Mr White was handed to Harrison and he opened it, guessing that it was on official business. Has had the books asked for sent to Terling and trusts they have arrived safely.

It is usual to have a Fellows' 'At Home' on the evening of the day of the first Council meeting after the recess, and if he may have Rayleigh's authority, he will have cards of invitation prepared.</dc:description>
