<dc:title>Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Dr Charles Chree, [Fellow of the Royal Society]</dc:title>
<dc:description>Geikie has never had any objection to a meeting of the Magnetic Committee, he just did not see a need for it to meet over the 'Scotia' data. However, if Chree would feel more at ease with the decision of this Committee to appeal to, Geikie would offer no objection. Has written to Admiral Field to ask if the Admiralty's magnetic work is complete. Chree will then have the opportunity of seeing it to judge whether anything else is required.</dc:description>
