<dc:title>Copy letter from Archibald Geikie, to Miss Sang, 12 Marchmont Street, Edinburgh</dc:title>
 <dc:description>'Dear Madam,
Your letter of yesterday has reached me enclosing one which you have addressed to the President & Council of the Royal Society. There will be a meeting of the Council next week and your request will then be considered. In the meantime allow me to express my own gratification that the life-long work of my old friend Dr Sang is now likely to be preserved to the nation.
Yours faithfully
Arch [Archibald] Geikie'.</dc:description>
